Savage Tours was born out of an idea for those who want to really delve in and understand more about the History and Culture of Italy. My name is Kylie Savage and I’m an Australian living in Rome. For fifteen years I have been obsessed with early pre-historic Italy to the country’s modern culture of today. I am truely fascinated as to how the current western world has largely developed from influences of Ancient Rome and Renaissance Florence. I have found the more I learn the more there is to learn as this country has such a wealth and complexity in respect of its’ history, people, places and culture. 

I still remember my first visit to Italy was when I developed a love for Michelangelo, which led to a total fascination of art, philosophy, history and culture. This love sparked a move from Australia to Rome seven years ago. Since then I have been studying at university in the hope to one day be able to unravel the mystery of time itself. Along with my university studies I hold an official tour licence for Italy and my hope is to make Italy accessible to all those that have a passion and interest for this very special place in the world.
